It light of all the buzz around the “Arbitrage Conspiracy” product launch, I thought I’d post a quick strategy on domain name bidding, which was briefly covered in the AC free report. This is not my endorsement for Arbitrage Conspiracy by any means…I’m simply providing you with a strategy you can use to bid on domain names whether you buy the course or not.

Basically, in this short video I walk you through a quick method of finding actual misspellings of searched for domain names. We all know that misspellings are a good way to get cheap, yet targeted traffic.

But usually our bidded on misspellings are just best guesses at what people actually type into the search field. What if you could know what they “actually” typed in? Take a look…

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6RRry-9Mbc

Again, I apologize in advance for the poor quality of the video. I need to do some more research on how to get better resolution when converting from Camtasia to YouTube. The video is hosted on YouTube, which may be a little clearer. Once I get a better video though, I’ll update this post with it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6RRry-9Mbc

As some PPC marketers are aware, the primary ingredient in finding profitable campaigns is to test, test, test. But testing can be quite expensive and quickly leave you feeling discouraged when your campaigns don’t work as planned. That’s why a smarter way to test is using OPM (other people’s money).

Testing PPC campaigns using Google Adwords may not be the best route to take for a number of reasons. For one, the clicks are much more expensive than that of Yahoo Search Marketing or MSN AdCenter. The competition is also much more fierce, so obtaining premium ad positions can be tricky and/or costly.

Also, Google will only allow its users to have one Adwords account, meaning that redeeming new coupon codes again and again for Adwords isn’t a possibility. (In actuality, multiple Adwords accounts are possible, but not recommended in the case that Google finds out and deletes ALL your accounts, not a good thing.

Luckily though, while an inferior PPC engine to Adwords on many levels, Yahoo Search Marketing makes up for their shortcomings by allowing search advertisers to create multiple Yahoo Search accounts but here’s the cool part:

You can use a new Yahoo coupon code with each new account you create.

So if you’re a beginning PPC marketer, a quick strategy to finding the profits would be to create multiple Yahoo Search Marketing accounts using the freely available Yahoo Search coupon codes (below). Then test out as many campaigns as you can with the free ad spend allotted to you from the coupon signup.

Still with me? Each new Yahoo account that you create will require a small deposit, which of course is still available to you to use towards your ad spend. For example, if you redeem a $100 Yahoo Search coupon, you have to come up with a $30 deposit. But this still leaves you with $130 to test with for that new account, essentially giving you $100 of OPM to crash and burn with, $30 is all you risk. Good deal IMO.

Once you test a few offers, find the profitable keywords using keyword tracking software, you can then scale the campaign out to other search engines like Google, with confidence that you have a winning campaign in the making.

But where do you find current and valid Yahoo Search coupons on a regular basis? I have the solution…

My friend Nana Gilbert-Baffoe recently coded a really cool tool that finds working Yahoo Search coupons for you and displays the codes along with their redemption value. So whether you’re searching for a $25 coupon, or a $100 coupon, they can easily be found here: http://technobloggie.com/ysm-coupons/

You can quickly see the given credit value of each coupon, and also sort the amounts in descending order to easily display the highest value codes. (of course you want to try all of the $100 coupons first right?

At the time of this writing, the highest dollar coupon code available is $100. But once in a great while, usually around a seasonal promotion, Yahoo will releases $200 coupon codes.

If you’re lucky enough to find a $200 Yahoo coupon, you’ll be set for quickly finding a profitable campaign as long as you properly manage your ad budget and track your keywords.

$100 Free Credit Yahoo Search Coupon

Way of the Warrior – Tip of the Day: Test your campaigns with smaller search engines first, find the winning offers, keywords, and ad copy, then scale on a larger level to multiple search engines. Use Export202.com to quickly duplicate working search campaigns and import to other PPC engines.
