Ah…that akward first blog post. What to write about, what to say?

Well first of all, have a look at my About Me page if this is your first visit to MasterlessSamurai.com. Which it probably is being that I just got the site up today :)

As I’ve introduced myself there, I’ll do so here as well knowing that some of you will go no deeper than the first page. My name is Wes. You can call me Wes, or “Brooks” being that almost no one can get my last name correct. “Brooks” might even be better since I frequently run in marketing circles with another “Wes”, of the same initials, (Wes202) but it’s up to you. I don’t care either way. Just don’t call me Wesley…I’ve long since abandoned the “ley”.

I’m a full time affiliate marketer, primarily focusing on PayPerClick…but have been venturing into other areas recently as well. I’ve been full time for about 9 months, haven’t looked back since. I couldn’t ask for a better “job”, or lack there of.  I’ll save you a repeat of my bio, which can found here.

While the site is not near competition at all, it is bearable to the point that I can comfortably make a first post. I’ve gone with the “free” UBD MoneyMaker Theme for the time being. Unique Blog Designs does some great work, and at some point in the future, I’ll shell out the money to have MasterlessSamurai.com totally revamped and professional designed from the ground up.

But I needed a blog up and fast as I’m heading to Affiliate Summit East this weekend in Boston and wanted something to refer people to as I go about  my networking at the event. If you’re also headed to Boston, be sure to give a shout out on my ASE Social Network.

I have lots of cool plans for the MasterlessSamurai.com which will come to fruition as time passes, but to get started I’ll probably kick off the first few posts as related to affiliate marketing and my experiences at Affiliate Summit Boston. I want to end each post with something special for my readers, not just random rants or filler each time, so I’m going to be doing what I call the “Way of the Warrior: Tip of the Day“.

These might be money making tips as related to affiliate marketing, or they might be inspirational proverbs from successful entrepreneurs. Regardless, I hope the tips will get you (and me both) motivated and inspired to press on.
